Āwhina is used across Aotearoa New Zealand's health and disability sector, helping healthcare workers to stay up-to-date with the latest information that they rely on.
Webtools are proud to have worked with the Ministry of Health on the Āwhina app, which was initially developed to get real-time Covid-19 information out to healthcare workers. Āwhina has since been adopted by Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, and with over 16,000 users, it is being expanded to provide updates on other important health information.
Āwhina gives healthcare workers access to information from the Ministry of Health and other trusted sources on their mobile device anywhere, anytime, and notifies them when new or updated content is available. Users can also adjust their preferences to subscribe to different channels, and search and save content in the app to give them quick access to it again later.
